Client's brief: Design the reception, a café, experience center and a 4BHK Show Apartment for TATA Realty. The apartment includes a spacious living dining area with a den, master bedroom, young adult’s bedroom, and guest bedroom.
One enters a large double height reception space, which leads you to the cafe. The outer shell of the space was existing; ABM Architects added elements to redefine the space. The cafe is defined by a curved wooden ceiling that wraps the ceiling. A hanging table, used for discussions, in the center becomes the focus of the space.
But the challenge was to design the apartment which tells the story of and closely relates to the residents who may someday inhabit the space. The apartment aims to strike a balance between opulence and functionality.

Each area in the house was ascribed a distinct identity around which the design was developed. The master bedroom was labelled “contemporary chic”, which was highlighted using various shades of green. The young adult's bedroom reflects youth, by incorporating a black and white illustrated wallpaper, and contrasting blues and oranges. Lastly, the guest room is a neutral grey with a hint of purple. The master and guest bedrooms each have their own walk in closet to give the bedrooms more space for circulation.
These spaces are tied together by the living room and den. The living and dining room flow into each other to enhance the idea of family. A glass partition divides the living room and den to create a privacy while still expanding the spaces; The den can also double up as a second guest room reinforcing our original goal of functionality.
A blend of vintage, design classics, and custom furnishing is paired with textural finishes to magnify the depth of the design. Carefully curated details like art and styling, further tie the rooms together.
Above all, the layout of spaces is efficient, while simultaneously integrating elements of luxury in the home. Elements like upholstered walls in the living room and an illustrated custom make wallpaper in the master bedroom, invite visitors to immerse themselves in the beauty of the design features, and imagine the house as their own home.
